Lynx & Nyktos

*Star is with Airel. Her father was found at the bottom of the gorge. They sent his body down the river today. Airel’s wrought with grief, his death was a shock. Lynx and she were very close. She hasn’t been down out of the tree except to see his body off. She won’t see anyone. Star is afraid she is suicidal. I doubt she will leave Airel. I sent to Airel but she won’t answer. I wish I could do something for her. Star wants to take her away until she is mature enough to mate. She was thinking of taking her to the Circle Village, Star thinks a change might bring her out of her depression.*
Lynx felt a sudden shock and immediately looked down and to see his shattered, physical body lying on a rock at the bottom of the gorge. He looked around and saw Airel standing at the top of the gorge looking down at him. He went straight to her, wanting to warn her not to follow him.
He knew now what happened, his physical body was dead and his was now a spirit. He felt a sense of freedom in this idea and also he felt concern for his sensitive daughter. Who would protect her now? Who would explain to her how to be an adult? Then he saw Star walk up behind Airel and take her hand. He felt relieved and moved toward the vortex of light knowing he would see Airel again. He wanted it to be soon.
Lynx walked in the land of spirit for a while, he needed to console himself of what could have been if he had not fallen to his death. He forgave himself of all the circumstances in his lifetime as Lynx and felt a freedom and joy he could not describe.
Soon the Council came to lynx and asked him if he would like to walk on Sirius B again for the last time. He was in agreement. They told him that a panther kitten was about to be born. Synchronicity would connect him again with Airel and he would be able to be with her for a short time.  Lynx immediately agreed, he would do anything to be in the presence of Airel and share a bond with her again.
The Council showed him that in this lifetime as a panther he would learn how to play and protect. He would learn to love unconditionally.
With that Lynx watched and waited for the mother panther to give birth to him. Then he felt the rush of physicality and he was aware that he was being born again as an animal. This was a peculiar feeling. He felt the feeling of joy and tenderness as the Panther mother welcomed him into the world.
In this body lynx felt his spirit expand. He knew he had changed and so his named changed as well, his name now was Nyktos. He was a little black panther wandering about the desert with his mother, playing and pretending to hunt. One day he wandered too far from his mother and another being picked him up. It was a male elf. Nyktos tried to squirm out of the elves arms but he was not strong enough.
The elf took him to a village. Nyktos remembered this village from somewhere in his being. He did not remember any of the elves he was staying with. Then he was traded to a female elf named Xtapa. She was also given a puma kitten. Xtapa put the kittens in a basket and carried them to her home.
Sometime passed and Nyktos and the Puma kitten became playmates. They slept with Xtapa and followed her around the village and played with each other while Xtapa was busy.
One day Xtapa brought a dryad in her home to live with her. Nyktos immediately knew this being from somewhere deep in his own beingness and the dryad filled him with the greatest joy. Her name was Airel. He knew he would remember her soon. Right now in this moment she was asleep and he curled up next to her and slept with her.
