Winter Walk

I decided I wanted to make lemon bread today. I looked around in my kitchen and found I needed eggs to make lemon bread. It is snowing and 16 degrees. I considered the trip and decided I would take the walk around the corner to Walmart.

I live in the most perfect place in Naperville Il, all of my needs are met in my neighborhood within walking distance.

I put on my layers of warm clothes and started my walk.

There is something magical about a cold snowy day. There is a deep quiet when the snow starts. All noises are muffled, quiet. The only thing you can hear is your footsteps crunching in the fresh snow. How wonderful, peaceful.

Snow in itself is so beautiful, light, fluffy, pretty! It falls and clings to the trees and shrubs decorating them with garlands of sparkly faceted flakes.

Step outside of your home or office and take a deep breath. Breath in that rich crispness of a beautiful winter day. Put your hand out and watch the snow cover it. Feel how refreshing it is. Stick your tongue out and catch some in your mouth. Have you ever tasted anything more refreshing?

Be couragous and take a little walk and look around, admire the day, take in the crispness of it and allow the depth of silence into your soul. Beautiful!
